SET Overview:
Set is a card game that is played by drawing 12 cards from the deck and setting them up in four rows of three. The objective of the game is to find a "set" of three cards that are either all the same or all different in a particular category. The categories that each card has are shape, number, color, and pattern. Here are some examples of sets and non sets:

This is an example of a set because each of these cards are all the same color, all have different shapes, all have different patterns, and all have the same number.
This is not an example of a set because there are two cards that have the same number and one card that has a different number. If the last card were to only have one symbol, this group of cards would be a set due to the cards meeting the rest of the criteria.
SET Thoughts:
These are a few of the sets that I found during one of the rounds. I noticed that I tend to focus on the number category primarily. On the first set, I noticed that the three cards had the same number which led me to also see the same color and shape for each of the cards. I then noticed that the cards had all different patterns which made this group of cards a set. For the next one, I noticed that each card had a different number which led me to look at all the other criteria. The process for the last one also started with me looking at the number on all of the cards being the same which led me to look into the other categories.
SET Trends:
Some follow-up questions that I have while playing SET are how does the game tie in with math and what is the purpose of it? I believe it might have something to do with stimulating the brain and causing it to think critically which is something that can be very important in math.
